A hodge podge of my creativity: knitting, sewing, quilting, crocheting, and my life as a early 30s domestic diva.

weather, llamas, and mittens...oh my.
Yup, that's an FO. Branching Out (Susan Lawrence) (Rav link) in Mirasol Miski. It was lovely knit, it's 4 balls of yarn and unblocked. I haven't decided if I'm going to block it, I kind of like it as is. And, since it's a holiday gift, I have a bit until I need to block it. Since today will be in the high 80s and tomorrow, the 90s.... I decided to cast on for mittens.
Yarn: Wisdom Yarns "Poems" which is like a Noro-knock off. It's nice, but it's a single and has some thick and thin pieces.
Pattern: Elizabeth Zimmerman's Mitered Mittens.
Needles: Bamboo US 6 dpns...
Modifications: none! I'm just whizzing along on these... that's 1 hour of knitting last night. I see a great many pairs of mittens ahead of me. I mean, c'mon, if you can make a pair in a weekend, or 2 good nights at knit night, why not?
Now, below... what you can't see is the crazy cat trying to feel the back of the ottoman for the dpns...lol. I kept trying to get a pic of the cat "hand" feeling around for it! When I was done, she came running after me and said "meow?" like "we're done with the photoshoot? you didn't get any pics of me!"
